Rob's been involved with BTA since his swimmers have joined BTA in 2000. He was elected Secretary of the Board of Directors in 2005, assumed the position of Facilities Co-ordinator as well in January 2007, and was elected President in Sept 2007.
Rob and Janelle have 2 swimmers - Jared who is 13 and Kiara who is 12.
Rob and his family moved to Kingwood from Canada in 1998. He's run different profit centers for major oil and energy companies as well as running smaller entrepreunerial companies, as well as playing professional hockey for the Boston Bruins after college. His wife Janelle works for Wachovia Securities, heading up their energy derivative sales group.
The Scheuer family is very active in their church, Christ the King Lutheran Church. Rob teaches Middle Schoolers, has been involved with adult small groups ministry, and the Board of Directors.

This is John’s fifth year with BTA. He is a BTA Meet Director and Equipment coordinator. He has two children who swim with BTA: Lisa who swims with the National Team (and who also swims Kingwood HS Varsity), and Julie who swims with the Junior Orange Team (and who also swims with the NWAL Sand Creek Sea Lions). John is a Chemical Engineer for Shell Oil Company. His lovely wife, Linda, is a Spanish teacher at Kingwood Park High School

Karie has been a BTA parent since 2003 and the Blue Tide Registrar since 2007. She and her husband, Jeff, CFO of a private asset management firm, have lived in Kingwood for 17 years. They have two children, Hannah (14) who swims with Blue Tide and Katie (11). After spending 10 years as a CPA specializing in international corporate tax, Karie now devotes her time to numerous non-profit and philanthropic entities. |

Linda’s family joined Blue Tide in 1999. She is married to Phil, a chemical engineer. They have three swimmers: Evan, 17; Reed, 14; and Emmie, 10. Evan and Reed also swim on the Kingwood High School Varsity team. Linda has been doing publicity and marketing for Blue Tide for the past several years.
She has a B.A. in journalism and more than 15 years experience in the communications industry. She runs her own business Linda Dalton Marketing and Public Relations which specializes in reaching the Kingwood market. Her hobbies are playing tennis and fund raising for non-profit organizations.

Bill’s involvement with Blue Tide began when daughter Sydney (now 13) joined BTA in 2003. Since that time, BTA has become a family affair with daughter Olivia (now 10) swimming and wife Amy coaching for a couple of years (since “retired”). Bill and Amy’s involvement in aquatics in the Kingwood/Humble area dates back to the late 70’s; Bill swam and played water polo at HHS. Amy swam at HHS and later KHS, and was one of the original members of BTA. Bill was elected to the Board as Treasurer in 2007. He is also a certified swimming official. Beyond BTA, Bill is an investment analyst specializing in oilfield services companies with SMH Capital, a Houston-based investment bank. Amy is an accomplished artist and is currently painting BTA’s bulletin boards, which will be hung once we regain full access to KHS. |

Rick, Dorothy and Ashley Alspaugh have been involved with BTA for about six years. Rick has been on the Board for a year and is commonly known as the "Concession Guy" for our meets. He's most comfortable chatting with customers in his store, Alspaugh's Ace Hardware as well as cooking up a storm at a BBQ. RIck is originally from Illinois but has been in Kingwood for 28 years, making him an official Texan. He's active with the Kingwood Chamber and is Chairman of both Kleenwood and Kleenwood H20. If you are looking for a fun volunteer job at the next home meet, be sure to call Rick and join his popular, crazy crew of "Concession People". |

John Hazle is a medical physicist and chairman of the Department of Imaging Physics at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. He will celebrate his 25th year with MDACC this spring. John and his family moved to Kingwood about four years ago. His daughter, Madeline (Senior Blue) has been swimming with Blue Tide for five years and his son Grant (Junior Blue) has been swimming with Blue Tide for four years. One of the reasons John and his wife, Deborah Haase, selected Kingwood for relocation was Blue Tide Aquatics. John is finishing his first term on the Board where he has served as leader of the Fundraising Committee. |

Kevin graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2002, and
has since earned his Master’s
degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, graduating Cum
Laude. He has over eleven years of coaching experience. Prior to joining BTA, he was with
the Arizona Desert Fox team for five years, and in that time he developed into
an American Swimming Coaches Association certified level 4 coach.
Kevin specializes in acute attention to detail and commitment to
developing fundamentals, and maximizing the growth of all his swimmers’
knowledge and ability. He was voted by his peers to be
the board president of the National Club Swimming Association for
all of his work preserving the integrity of Junior Nationals and
helping to promote 18 & Under elite swimming in the United States.
He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and a
life member of the American Swimming Coaches Association. |
